We Have Lost The Way

I was on Facebook and I saw a prayer attached to one popular General Overseer of a church in Nigeria where they posted the graphic of a beautiful house and a car to pray for those believing God for a house or a car.

There is nothing wrong with such prayer. But my point is that I saw thousands of comments from people, echoing Amen, to the prophetic declaration. Then I was shocked.

Why?

This is because I know if it was an altar call, many people won’t respond to it. Thousands of Christians across the world have lost the way. Their mind have been poisoned with greed for the things of this world.

I am deeply worried many churches have lost focus today. Even some revered big churches are not left out. In some churches, it’s all about prophetic messages and seed sowing. People have derailed.

The fundamental assignment have been abandoned by many pastors and ministers. The focus is lost. Especially in all these business centers parading as church of God.

Although there is nothing bad trusting God for the miracle of a car or a house. As children of God, we are not supposed to lack any of these things. But the truth is that, we have lost the way. We no longer thirst after God’s kingdom and righteousness.

The Bible says:

“For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 32-33)

If we follow the instructions in Mathew 6: 24-34, most of these things will come naturally to us even without any prophecy or miracle.

Unfortunately, many do not even know that all these worldly things without salvation is vanity upon vanity.

The things of this world, the lust of this world, and the world itself will soon pass away. Only those who do the will of God and have salvation will abide forever and ever. Other things will soon pass away. It is all vanity (1John 2:15-17).

Think about your salvation first. If you die today, your judgement begins immediately. Can you make Heaven?

Please repent now!

Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
