In the book of Isaiah chapter 1, There was a time in Israel they were seriously troubled. They face a lot of challenges and every god they consulted disappointed them. Even after they remembered to run back to God, and they did, God still refused to hear them and answer their prayer.

They tried so much to call an assembly prayer for God to help them out of their trouble, but still, all to no avail. Their voices were going into voice mail. God spoke in verse 15 of the book of Isaiah to confirm that the voice of the people were indeed going into voice mail.

Read Isaiah 1:15, to see what God said to them:

“And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.”

This verse confirms that God did not answer the multitude of their prayer because their hands were full of blood. Not just about shedding innocent blood alone, but in totality, God was referring to their sins as reason their voice will continue to enter into voice mail.

Instead of them to repent genuinely and seek forgiveness, and turn unto God to serve Him with all their heart, they were attempting to bribe God with sacrifices and calling of assembly prayer which doesn’t work.

Read Isaiah 1:13-14

“Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.”

You see! God is not a wicked God. He is merciful and loves His people. But you can’t be inside sin and think His grace will abound.

Bible says in Isaiah 59:1 that:

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:”

What this explains is that many people have developed stomach ulcer and cancer as a result of multitude of fasting and prayer that has gone into voice mail.

You cannot remain in perpetual sin and think you can use fasting and prayer to bribe God. As sinners, we are to first repent from our evil ways before we seek God’s help for anything. Just like many prayer goes into voice mail, so also a good deal of praise and worship unto God have gone into voice mail because the concerned has refused to repent from his/her sin.

But God, being a merciful God, He gave condition to the Israelites before He will answer their prayers. And same condition applies to all sinners.

Read Isaiah 1:16-20:

“Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”

Don’t be confused base on the above scripture, God is not asking you to go and bath or wash in any pool of waters. There is no water, soap, or sponge that washes away sins except the BLOOD OF JESUS.

God is talking about repentance here. So also I am preaching unto you genuine repentance. Who knows the reason it seems God has abandoned you. Who knows why you are still on that prayer point without any answers for many months.

You Must Repent First! You Must Accept, And Confess, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Furthermore, you must also go extra miles to confess your parental and ancestral sins after you have done confessing your personal sin. Furthermore, you never can tell reasons you remain hindered. Parental or ancestral sins can also cause it.

Or have you forgotten what the Bible says when the scribes and Pharisees were trying to exonerate themselves from the sins of their forefathers?

They replied Jesus in Mathew 23:30:

“And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. But Jesus replied them in verse 31-33:”

“Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?”.

The point is, it is necessary after genuine repentance to confess 3 sins namely : personal sin, parental sin and ancestral sins so that we can totally be freed. Only God and those He might reveal it unto can know your source of problem and why that prayer is not yet answered.

Before you kill yourself with fasting and prayer, or before you continue to waste your time in bribing God with your praise and worship, please go and first settle yourself with God as advised. Otherwise, your voice can be going directly to voice mail.

I just told you. I’m freed because I have done my part by telling you the truth. Remember that portion of the bible that say if you obey, you shall eat the good of the land, but if you disobey, you shall be devoured with a sword.

Please repent today!

Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
