Gunmen abduct Secondary School student, father in Ondo

Unidentified assailants have reportedly abducted Jethro Onose, a student at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School in Imeri, located in the Ose Local Council Area of Ondo state.

The incident occurred as Master Onose, a senior secondary school (SSS) 1 student, and his father, Maliki Onose, were returning to the school following the holiday break. According to sources, the gunmen intercepted the father-son duo along the Edo and Ondo road.

Damilola Ogunrotimi, the chairman of the school’s Parents Teachers Association (PTA), confirmed the abduction during a phone conversation.

Ondo police spokesperson Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya could not immediately confirm the incident.
