President Bola Tinubu is set to speak to Nigerians by 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, as part of this year’s Democracy Day events. His address is one of the major activities lined up to mark the 2025 celebration.
Later in the day, at 12 noon, the President is also expected to attend a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja. This will be followed by a public lecture at the State House Conference Centre, scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
The Federal Government has announced that there will be no traditional parade this year.
Instead, the lecture will focus on deepening democratic processes and ongoing efforts to reform governance structures in the country.
