EPL: Saka Set for New Arsenal Deal as Negotiations Progress

By: Sunday Ameh

Arsenal are making steady progress in negotiations with Bukayo Saka and his representatives over a new long-term contract, with all parties reportedly aligned on keeping the England international at the Emirates Stadium.

Talks between the club and the 24-year-old winger, which began before the summer transfer window, are said to be moving smoothly, as Arsenal aim to secure the future of one of their most influential players.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, confirmed the positive developments, saying:

“Arsenal are progressing well in talks with Bukayo Saka and his camp over a new contract. Salary details are being discussed, but all parties involved are aligned and convinced to move forward together. Talks were already underway before the summer window, proceeding well.”

Saka, who has become a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s side, currently has a contract running until 2027. However, the club’s hierarchy is keen to extend his deal further amid increasing interest from top European clubs.

According to reports, the discussions are focused on salary, incentives, and image-rights structure, reflecting Saka’s growing importance to Arsenal’s sporting project and marketing appeal.
Fans have expressed excitement over the news, with many urging the club to complete the deal quickly to avoid speculation about his future.

Saka has been instrumental in Arsenal’s strong performances this season, contributing goals, assists, and leadership both on and off the pitch. His commitment and consistency have made him a fan favourite and a symbol of the club’s new era under Arteta.

If an agreement is reached soon, it will mark another major statement of intent from the North London club as they continue to challenge for the Premier League title and maintain their push in European competitions.
