Why I Want To Become An Actor – Wizkid Reveals

 

 

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has recently disclosed his desire to venture into acting, unveiling the motivations behind the career shift.
The Starboy boss, who announced a hiatus from music, is now eyeing a new path in the entertainment industry.

Expressing his intentions, Wizkid revealed that he aspires to become an actor, driven by the desire to engage in on-screen activities like kissing women and handling firearms within the context of movies. He shared these thoughts on his Instagram story.

In Pidgin, he stated, “Shebi I tell una I one dey act film!…I just want dey kiss and shoot a gun for a movie. Daz all!!”

Wizkid had indicated a three to four-year break from the studio; however, he is now contemplating extending this hiatus to a duration of six years.

On his Instagram story, he wrote, “Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to six years.”

This won’t be the first time Wizkid will be announcing a break from music.

In 2019, the singer, via his X account, disclosed his plans to take a break from music, tweeting, “Gone till March! Thank you.”
