In an unprecedented political shift, more than 10,000 members from the PDP, APC, and various parties have flocked to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State. This monumental mass defection unfolded on Saturday, May 13, 2025, during a historic unveiling ceremony led by the ADC’s Benue State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Terngu Tsegba.
The event attracted a massive crowd of political supporters and admirers of Sir John Ngbede, a key figure in Agatu’s political landscape, who further solidified the party’s presence by donating a new secretariat. Tsegba hailed the gathering as the largest unveiling in the state’s history, emphasizing the ADC’s commitment to inclusiveness and internal democracy.
Ngbede, a former key political player in the region, proclaimed the end of PDP and APC dominance in Agatu, igniting cheers and solidarity from the enthusiastic crowd. The unveiling underscored ADC’s rapidly growing influence and determined focus on grassroots engagement as they aim for total electoral victory in the upcoming elections.
