Tight security in Ibadan as ex-Oyo PMS chair, Auxiliary appears in court

The former Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxiliary, on Monday, appeared at the State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan, over alleged armed robbery, murder, attempted murder, possession of a firearm, including, one AK-47 assault rifle.

PUNCH Online observed that there is tension around the area as vehicular patrol vans are stationed at different areas.

Uniform and plain cloth security operatives including the Police, and Amotekun Corps, among others are also noticed within and around the court premises.

The offence, according to the charge sheet is punishable offence under Section 1(2)(a) and (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, CAP RII, Vol.14, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

He is facing trial before Justice Olabisi Adetujoye of Fiat Court 5 of the state High Court.

The case, with suit number i/74c/2024 is between the state vs Mukaila Lamidi (Auxiliary).
