Fire of God

What is the dictionary meaning of fire?

Fire represents combustion – a chemical reaction that releases both heat and light.

What is Fire of God?

The fire of God symbolized the guiding presence of God among the people.

In Exod 3:2, God appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush on Mount Sina.

Fire of God portrayed God’s power, holiness, and protection over his people.

John the Baptist says in Matthew 3:11 that: “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

True partnership with the Lord means being on fire; if you truly want to partner God, you must be on fire because the real definition of God himself is that God is a consuming fire.

Hebrew 12:29 defines God as a consuming fire.

Throughout the Bible, we see the presence of God physically manifested as fire.

See Genesis 15:17, where God sealed his covenant with Abram by passing through the animal sacrifice as “a smoking oven and a flaming torch.”

During the Israelites’ exit from Egypt, the Lord appeared as a protective wall of fire at night. See Exod 40:38; and also Exod 13:21

Psalm 97:3 says FIRE GOETH BEFORE HIM, and BURNETH UP HIS ENEMIES round about.

This suggests that No demon can stroll into God’s Presence in Heaven, without being consumed by the fire emanating from the Throne.

The fire of God is a spiritual fire that is given by God and cannot be quenched by firefighter.

As believers, we need the fire of God in our life. A Christian without the fire of God does not have God.

Shouting fire in time of spiritual distress or trouble is one thing the kingdom of darkness does not want to hear.

No problem, no sickness, no disease in your life can stand the LORD’s fire when it falls on you.

In the book of 1Kings 18:38), when the fire of God fell, it consumed burnt sacrifices, it consumed the wood, it consumed the stones, it consumed the dust, it consumed the ashes, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

Nothing can stand in the way of the LORD’s fire whenever it falls.

Anyone without the fire of God is empty. A child of God must carry the fire of God..

Why we need to call upon the the fire of God today?

Fire purifies.

Fire devour.

‘Fire can destroy.

Fire can consumes.

Fire can renews.

Fire of God protects.

Fire of God can melt.

The fire of God can deliver.

Fire of God is a weapon.

Fire of God can also demonstrates God’s anger against the enemy.

When God answers by fire, there is rapid response, speed, and quick intervention and positive consequences and results.

When Jesus comes He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with… FIRE” (Matthew 3:11)

Above all, you can’t remain in sin and says the grace of God should abound. You can’t get the fire of God without knowing God. You need to repent today and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour genuinely.

Ask God to forgive you and have mercy on you. Confess your sin now and accept Christ in your life.

As a backsliders, please rededicate your life and accept Christ without looking back.

Say : Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. Forgive me. (confess your sin) I accept you today as my Lord and Saviour, come into my life and remain there forever. Amen.
