Ondo Police give N38.8 million cheques to deceased officers’ families

 

Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo of Ondo State distributed cheques amounting to N38.8 million to widows and family members of officers who lost their lives in service, as announced by the command’s spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, on Wednesday.

Mr. Oladipo emphasized that this initiative aligns with Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun’s dedication to supporting the welfare of serving officers and the families of deceased officers.

“IGP has made it a point of duty to ensure that the welfare of families of the late officers are adequately taken care of.

“The cheques presented are for claim settlement, Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance schemes meant to improve the welfare of family members of late police officers,” he said.

Therefore, the police commissioner urged the beneficiaries to use the money wisely and improve the welfare of their families.
