President Buhari lifts employment embargo on MDAs

 

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has lifted the long-enacted employment embargo on the Ministry, Department and Agency of the federal government of Nigeria.

 

The Head of Service of the Federation, Folashade Mejabi Yemi made this known to news me at the State House in Abuja.

 

According to her, Mr President lifted the embargo to enable the teeming youths of Nigeria to get employed which is a way of tackling insecurity in the country.

 

Starnews Nigeria reports that she assured that all federal government parastatals especially the education sector have been granted approval for mass recruitment.

 

In his remarks, the Minister of Labour, Dr Christ Ngige told Journalists that President Buhari is keen on employing Nigerian youths in various federal government agencies, and because of that, the employment embargo has been lifted.

 

This is necessary to reduce the high level of economic hardship amongst the teeming Nigerian youths, Ngige said.
