Oyinlola’s Ex-Chief Of Staff, Babalola, Resigns From PDP After Suspension

Peter Babalola, a former Chief of Staff to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has resigned his membership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) amidst suspension.

Babalola was suspended by the Ward 7 executives on Tuesday for alleged anti-party activities.

The suspension letter signed by Ward 7 PDP chairman, Odelade Adesoye and his sixteen executives hinged the reason for Babalola’s suspension on anti-party activities and failure to attend meetings.

Reacting to his suspension, Babalola in a letter made available to resigned his membership from the party.

He stated that, “I am writing to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership from the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), effective immediately.

“This decision comes after careful reflection and consideration of my personal values, goals and the political direction I wish to pursue.

“I wish the PDP continued success in its future endeavours and hope for the advancement of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.”
