Nigeria Unaffected by Global IT Outage – ngCERT

Nigeria remained unaffected by the global information technology outage that disrupted airline operations and other activities in several countries.

The Nigeria Computer Emergency Response Team (ngCERT) announced on its official X account on Friday that there have been no reported IT service outages in the country.

This update follows a global IT outage impacting the United States, United Kingdom, India, Australia, and New Zealand.

“ngCERT is aware of the global IT outage affecting various services and platforms. So far, we have not received any reports of impact on our cyberspace. We will issue an advisory as soon as valid information is available. Please report any noticed impacts for prompt action,” stated ngCERT.

The global tech outage notably grounded major airlines in the US on Friday.
