Motorcyclist shot dead by suspected thieves in Ondo

Fear spread through the Ore community in Ondo State following the tragic killing of a motorcyclist, Nazifi Ibrahim, who was reportedly gunned down by suspected criminals.

The attack occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. along Alafia Street, not far from the Ore-Benin Expressway, within Odigbo Local Government Area.

Sources in the area said the victim, originally from northern Nigeria, had just completed a passenger trip when he was targeted and fatally shot by individuals believed to be robbers intending to steal his motorcycle.

While the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, local residents suspect the killing was linked to rising cases of motorcycle theft in the area.

Ibrahim was laid to rest in Ore according to Islamic burial practices.

Police have acknowledged the incident and said a full investigation is in progress to uncover those behind the crime.
