First Lady Visits Late Army Chief Lagbaja’s Widow

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu on Wednesday, November 6, visited the widow of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.

Remi Tinubu also condoled with the widow and the entire family of the late COAS.

A statement by the First Lady described the death of the Army chief as sad.

Mrs Tinubu also praised the late COAS for his service to Nigeria and exemplified valour.

“It is with a heavy heart that I received the sad news of the demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Lagbaja.

“Throughout his career, the late Chief of Army Staff exemplified valour, patriotism, and unwavering dedication to the service of our dear country. I extend my deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja, children, family, friends, colleagues and associates,” Mrs Tinubu said.

She also prayed for the repose of the soul of Lagbaja and for God to comfort his family and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
