First Bank Reverses Charges on ATM Withdrawals

In compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directive, First Bank has revised its ATM withdrawal charges, reversing previous fees on certain transactions.

Effective March 1, 2025, withdrawals on First Bank ATMs will remain free.

However, the first three withdrawals on other banks’ ATMs will no longer be free. Subsequent withdrawals on other banks’ ATMs will attract charges as follows:

ATMs within bank premises: ₦100 per ₦20,000 withdrawal.

ATMs outside bank premises: ₦100 per ₦20,000 withdrawal plus a surcharge of up to ₦500.

International withdrawals: Charges will depend on the fees set by the international bank processing the transaction.

First Bank reassured customers of its commitment to providing top-tier banking services, emphasizing security measures to protect users from fraud.

Customers are advised never to disclose sensitive banking details such as passwords, token responses, card numbers, or ATM PINs.
