Abia International Airport To Be Completed In 2 Years – Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has set an ambitious timeline to complete the Abia International Airport in Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North, within 24 months.

Although the official contract grants the construction company, Craneburg Construction, a 36-month window, the governor expressed confidence in delivering the project earlier.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on December 17, was attended by notable figures, including Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo.

Originally planned as an airstrip in the 2024 federal budget, the project was upgraded to a full-fledged airport following a proposal by the Abia State government.

Speaking during a Sunday church service in Aba, Otti reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, signaling that the airport would enhance the state’s connectivity and economic potential.

The governor’s remarks were met with enthusiasm by attendees, who included top government officials and dignitaries.

The project’s accelerated timeline aligns with Otti’s vision of driving rapid progress across the state, as his administration marks significant achievements within 18 months in office.
