Union of Ikale Indigenes Hails Appointments of Four Illustrious Sons

The Union of Ikale Indigenes (UOII) has congratulated four of its distinguished members on their recent political appointments, describing the recognition as a resounding affirmation of their leadership acumen, professional excellence and commitment to national development.

In a statement jointly signed by its President, Chief Amb. Omowole Isaac Omogoroye, and General Secretary, Prof. Kunle Olatumile, the union felicitated Prof. Dayo Faduyile on his appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kotangora; Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, PhD, and Prof. Igbekele Amos Ajibefun on their nominations as full members of the South West Development Commission (SWDC); and Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry, who was appointed a Commissioner in Ondo State.

The appointments, according to the union, were made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, whom the union thanked for finding the Ikale sons worthy of service at both federal and state levels.

“This recognition is not only a personal achievement for the appointees but also a loud testament to their outstanding leadership capacity, commitment to human capital development, philanthropy, and passion for environmental and community advancement,” the union said.

UOII expressed confidence that the quartet would justify the trust reposed in them, noting that their scholarly and professional accomplishments in their respective fields had already spoken volumes about their abilities.

“We have no doubt that these appointments will yield immense benefits to our people and the nation at large. The pedigree, passion and patriotism of these gentlemen assure us that they will perform beyond expectations,” the union added.

The union also used the opportunity to express its profound gratitude to President Tinubu and Governor Aiyedatiwa for the inclusive nature of their appointments, noting that such gestures foster unity and promote competence in governance.

“We assure Mr. President and the Governor that they have made the right choice in these noble sons of Ikale land, and we wish them every success in their new responsibilities,” the statement concluded.
