Protest: Policeman Reported Dead Miraculously Survived– Force PRO

In an unexpected turn, the police disclosed on Saturday that an officer initially reported dead on the first day of the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protests has “miraculously survived” but is still in critical condition.

According to Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi, nine officers sustained varying degrees of injuries during the demonstrations.

Additionally, 681 suspects have been apprehended for various violent crimes across several states, including Abuja, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Nasarawa, and Sokoto.

Previously, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun had stated that one officer was killed and others severely injured during the protests, which he described as “mass uprisings and looting, not protests.”

In light of the unrest, the Nigeria Police Force has put all units on red alert, with officers fully mobilized to ensure public safety and order.
