The former National Chairman South West of the People’s Democratic Party, Dr Eddy Olafeso, has congratulated Agboola Ajayi after he emerged winner in the Ondo PDP primary election.

He called on other aspirants to join him and the leadership of the party in campaigning for Agboola to reclaim the state from the ruling APC.

While assuring that the PDP will take over the state in November this year, Olafeso asked the State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to prepare himself to leave the government house. He called upon all the PDP defectors to return to the party as he said power will change hands during the state governorship election.

He wrote:

“I congratulate our party for conducting a successful primary election devoid of rancour, fraud, and irregularities that the ruling APC is known for in Nigeria.

“Yesterday’s primary election that produced His Excellency, Hon. Agboola Ajayi was free and fair. I am happy the PDP is setting a standard for other political parties in the country on how a credible poll should be conducted.

“Congratulations to our candidate on his election victory. I urge all the aspirants who participated in the primary to join hands with me and the leadership of the party in campaigning for our candidate to reclaim the state from the retrogressive ruling APC in Ondo State.

“There is no better time to do this than now. The state governorship election slated for November this year is winnable. Our party will be a breath of fresh air for the redevelopment of the Sunshine state.

“The PDP is a political party with a fundamental ideology. Ever since I joined, I have never left the party for any reason. This is the right time to come together and kick the APC out of power in Ondo State.

“I call everyone who left the party to return home. This is because by November 16, this year, power will change hands. Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa should start preparing to leave the government house”.
