Ondo 2024: INEC publishes governorship candidates’ academic credentials

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the information on the candidates running in the Ondo State gubernatorial election scheduled for November 16, 2024.

On Saturday, the personal details of 17 candidates from various political parties were made public.

“As indicated in our Press Release dated 23rd May 2024, the Commission today (Saturday) published the personal particulars and academic credentials of candidates and their running mates (Form EC9) for the Ondo State Governorship election at the State office in Akure for public scrutiny,” the electoral body further revealed in a post on social media.

The details were published just a day after INEC announced its intention to disclose the candidates’ credentials.

The publication also included the details of the deputy governorship candidates from the various parties.

With less than six months to the Ondo governorship election, INEC is set to publish the final list of candidates by June 18, following any substitutions by the parties. Additionally, political campaigns will commence on June 19.
