NYSC Moves Corps Members from Benue Community After Deadly Attack

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has withdrawn corps members from Mbaa community in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State.

This decision follows a violent attack by suspected armed herders, which left more than 20 people dead, including 16 farmers whose bodies were found in River Katsina-Ala.

NYSC officials in Benue confirmed that corps members were relocated due to ongoing security concerns in the area.

Parents and guardians were assured that all corps members are safe and accounted for.

Authorities stated that no corps members have been posted to Mbaa since the attacks began.

Those serving in Jato Acka Turan, a different location, are not under any security threat.

NYSC also reaffirmed its commitment to working with security agencies to protect corps members and advised parents to rely on official channels for updates.
