The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, has expressed optimism about Nigeria’s progress, crediting recent reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s administration for signs of economic and political stability.
Speaking at the APC National Summit in Abuja, Ganduje said the Tinubu-led government’s Renewed Hope Agenda is actively transforming the nation and is no longer just a vision but a reality.
He pointed to improvements in macroeconomic indicators, increased oil revenue, and growing international investor interest as evidence of progress.
Ganduje highlighted key reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidies, unification of the exchange rate, targeted agricultural and infrastructure investments, and economic policies aimed at long-term growth.
He explained that savings from these reforms have been redirected to critical sectors, including education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure.
Other government initiatives he cited include the new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants, a three-month Conditional Cash Transfer of N25,000 to 15 million vulnerable households, and the Compressed Natural Gas Initiative. So far, over 100,000 vehicles have been converted to use CNG, with a target of one million within three years.
On politics, Ganduje reaffirmed APC’s readiness for future elections, especially the 2027 general elections. He noted that the party is already training polling agents, legal teams, and campaign workers, focusing on data-driven strategies and grassroots mobilization.
He assured party members of APC’s commitment to fair and strategic victories in upcoming off-cycle elections, particularly in Anambra and Osun States.
