I’m an unofficial APC member, says Shaibu

The reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philips Shaibu, has revealed that he considers himself an unofficial member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He explained that the only reason he remains with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is because he has not yet formally left the party.

During an appearance on Arise TV’s morning show, Shaibu stated that although he supports the APC governorship candidate, his allegiance to the PDP is merely formal.

“In the PDP, everyone is free to support whoever they choose,” he noted, emphasizing that the constitution allows individuals to support any candidate and belong to any party.

Shaibu also claimed that since the onset of the political crisis in the state, he has attempted to contact his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki, 101 times, but has received no response.
