The Union of Ikale Indigenes (UOII) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Distinguished Senator, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, over the formal approval and issuance of a license for the establishment of Fortune University, Igbotako, by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
In a message jointly signed by the President of the Union, Chief (Amb.) Omowole I. Omogoroye, and the General Secretary, Prof. Kunle Olatumile, the group described the federal approval as a momentous and heartwarming milestone that underscores Senator Ibrahim’s visionary leadership, relentless dedication, and steadfast commitment to academic advancement and self-development.
The Union, in its congratulatory message, commended the business mogul and senator representing Ondo South for his tireless efforts in promoting education and fostering academic excellence across the board, noting that the birth of Fortune University is a significant step towards shaping the future of numerous students and contributing meaningfully to national development.
“This remarkable achievement is a testament to your vision, dedication, and perseverance. Your love for self-development and tireless efforts to promote education and academic excellence across board have yielded tangible results,” the group stated.
Highlighting the prospective impacts of the newly licensed university, the UOII said the institution is poised to unlock a floodgate of high-class developmental projects that would catalyse growth and prosperity in the host communities and beyond.
“We have no doubt that Fortune University, Igbotako, is on course to becoming a hub for academic excellence. Its presence and impact in the Ikale, Ilaje, and Ese-Odo nations will be felt sustainably. This milestone will not only develop individuals but will bring growth to the catchment communities around the university,” the message read in part.
The Union further acknowledged and commended the university’s first strategic appointment, describing it as a wise and unifying move.
The appointment of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Adejumola Sunday Amuseghan, Lawe II, the Kalasuwe of Apoi Land, as the pioneer Chairman, Governing Council of the institution, was praised for its academic merit and cultural symbolism.
“This appointment is not only academically apt, but it is also a deliberate step to cement the long-standing fraternity among the peoples of the immediate environment of the university. We salute your wisdom for this initiative,” the statement said.
While expressing confidence in the senator’s capacity to do more for the communities, the UOII reiterated its admiration for his legacies and global standing.
“Dear Senator, permit us as we whisper to you silently here that much can still be achieved for these communities given your global status as we recognize your already proven legacies.”
The Union concluded by wishing Senator Ibrahim continued success and growth in his endeavours, affirming that his latest accomplishment is both laudable and a source of collective pride to the Ikale people.
