The wife of an Amotekun officer in Ondo State has staged a protest, demanding to know the whereabouts of her missing husband, who she said has been missing for over a week.
Speaking with reporters during the protest, the distraught woman said her husband, identified simply as Temitope Akinsipe, left home for a senior staff meeting last week and has not returned since.
According to her, several attempts to reach him or get any information about his location from his colleagues and superiors in the Amotekun Corps have been unsuccessful.
“She said Amotekun commander called for a peaceful meeting and he went to Senior Staff Club, but since then, he has not come back. I am worried and don’t know what to do,” she lamented.
She called on the Ondo State Government and relevant security agencies to assist in finding her husband, expressing deep concern for his safety and well-being.
“I am appealing to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and all security agencies to please help me find my husband. I just want to know if he is alive,” she pleaded tearfully.
As of the time of filing this report, the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State has yet to make an official statement regarding the officer’s disappearance.
