Ijero LG APC Stakeholders Adopts Omoleye For Ekiti Central Senatorial Seat.

The senatorial ambition of the Chief of Staff to Ekiti state Governor, Hon Biodun Omoleye received a major boost today as APC Stakeholders across Ijero local government adopted him as their sole candidate to represent the good people of Ekiti Central Senatorial District in 2023.

 

The Stakeholders comprises of the Assembly member representing Ijero constituency, Hon Ademola Ojo, executive Chairman of Ijero local government, Hon Adeola Adeyemo,his Vice,Hon. Tunji Oladeji, executive Chairman,Irede LCDA,Hon Gbenga Bobade, his Vice, Hon Olusola Fabunmi,vice Chairman, Irewolede LCDA, Mr Samson Kolwawole, state organizing secretary of APC, Mr Deji Babalola,Local government APC Chairman, Mr James Awe,represented by his vice Prince Adedayo Agboola, party leaders from the 12 Wards-Hon Samuel Dada, Prince Deji Ariyo, Hon Yinka Adumati, Chief Friday Omoyelu,Prince Eyeowa, Chief Obalaaye,hon Segun Teniola,Engr Fasola Billy,Hon Folorunso Akilo,chief Daraniwon,Elder Esan, Chief Ayo Adewumi, Mr Raymond Popoola,hon Anike Ayodele,Hon Usikalu,Mr Dare Aniyikaye,Alhaji Moruf, all the 12 Wards executives,led by their Chairmen, all former Councillors, serving Councillors, among others, were all at the stakeholders meeting held at the Palace Hotel, Ijero-Ekiti.

 

Moving the motion for the adoption of Hon Biodun Omoleye, Mr Sunday Aladeokin (baba kini nkan) from Ipoti Ward B, described the chief of staff as the most experience politician in Ijero local government who has been consistent with the Progressive ideology since his foray into politics. He maintained that Omoleye’s political sagacity has helped in holding the party’s tight in Ijero local government. His motion was seconded by Hon. Ayoka Ogundare from Ijero Ward B. The gathering later chorused in one voice to throw their weights behind the candidacy of Omoleye,whom they described as a party man to the core.

 

The convener of the Stakeholders meeting,Hon Benson Olusola said the meeting was in response to the declaration letter written by Hon Biodun Omoleye which was distributed to all the APC leaders across Ekiti central senatorial district,comprises of Ado,Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ekiti West,Efon and Ijero local governments.

 

Hon Benson said Omoleye had demonstrated leadership capacity in all his previous positions and presently as the chief of staff to Ekiti state Governor.

 

Some of the party leaders that spoke at the event included,Hon Samuel Dada, Prince Adedayo Agboola, state organizing secretary of APC, Mr Deji Babalola,Irede LCDA Boss,Hon. Gbenga Bobade among others. They all described Hon. Omoleye as a consistent party man whose antecedents within and outside the party stand him out as the best man for the senatorial seat.

 

While given the vote of thanks, the Special Assistant to the chief of staff, Prince Adeoye Ajibola, expressed gratitude to the highest hierarchy of APC in Ijero local government for their decision to support the aspiration of Hon Biodun Omoleye in clinching the party’s ticket and as well become the first Senator from Ijero local government since the returns to democracy in 1999. Prince Ajibola said the decision of Hon Biodun Omoleye to represent the largest Senatorial district in the state was borne out of his love for his people.
