Hoodlums in Amotekun Uniforms Steal Vehicles in Osun

Hoodlums, posing in Osun Amotekun uniforms, invaded a mechanic workshop in Osogbo, Osun State, on Friday, stealing three vehicles and spare parts worth millions of naira.

Witnesses reported that about twenty armed men arrived at the workshop in Hilux vans around 10 am. They spent hours on the scene, towing away three vehicles belonging to customers. The workshop owner, Babatunde Oyetunji, located opposite the NNPC mega station, confirmed the incident.

Oyetunji stated, “I was away when the armed hoodlums, disguised as Amotekun operatives, invaded my workshop and stole three vehicles with new engines and gears. My apprentices described it as a huge siege. I urge the Inspector General of Police to investigate this misuse of Amotekun uniforms for such a heinous crime.”

In response, Osun Amotekun’s Public Relations Officer, Abass Yusuf, denied any involvement of their corps in the robbery.
