Heartland Edge Sunshine Stars As 3SC Holds Rangers In Awka

 

Heartland FC continue their fight for survival in the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League season as they secured a narrow win against Sunshine Stars.

 

The lone strike from Adejoh Onogwa in the 37th minute ensured that the Naze Millionaire secured a valuable 3 points against the Akure Gunners.

 

Shooting Stars recorded a surprise 2-2 away draw against Rangers International in Akwa.

 

It was the Flying Antelope that raced to a two goal lead via strikes from Shedrack Asiegbu and Chidiebere Nwobodo while a brace from Moses Omodumueke late in the game gave the Oluyole Warrior something to rejoice about.

 

Earlier in the day, Abia Warriors defeated visiting Gombe United in a five-goal thriller in Okigwe.

 

After the game was squared up at 2-2 it was Kelechi Chimezie’s 90th minute strike that separated both sides.

Goals from Israel Emmanuel and Unwana Asuquo ensured that Dakkada defeated Katsina United 2-0 in Uyo.

The remaining matches will take place on Sunday.
