Mali’s senior men’s basketball team continue their strike for the second consecutive game as they boycotted their game against Nigeria’s D’Tigers, Starnews report

The West African team has been at the loggerhead with their federation following the non-payment of their allowances and bonuses.

They refused to honour their first match against Uganda on Friday and they got a walkover and 20 points were awarded to Uganda.

They are scheduled to face D’Tigers on Saturday but they refused to show up again and after the centre referee waited for the stipulated time he called off the game and awarded 20 points to D’Tigers.

The walkover will surely do Nigeria side a whole lot of good having lost the opening game to Cape Verde
