”Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.”

”But Jesus answered and said, Ye, know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?”

”They say unto him, We are able. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father”. Mathew 20:20-23.

God does not relate with our parents on the issue of eternal life. God does not have grandchildren. We are all the children of God. Salvation or eternal life is on an individual basis. Your parent cannot request it on your behalf.

We are to work towards it individually. It doesn’t matter if your father is the Adeboye’s of this world, his service to God won’t guarantee your salvation if your deeds on earth aren’t right with God. You can’t inherit your father’s salvation. God does not have grandchildren as regards the salvation of souls. He deals with the individual’s soul.

The above Scripture says the kingdom of God is prepared by God for some people only and they are those whose names are written in the book of life. And whosoever is not found written in the book of life can not enter into the kingdom and it is only those in Christ that would have their names written in the book of life.

Are you in Christ? Are you born again? Are you genuine? Can you make Heaven if you die today?
