Funke Akindele Warns Against Piracy Ahead Of Movie Premiere

By Our Correspondent

Funke Akindele, a well-known Nollywood actress and producer, has strongly warned against pirating her upcoming film Everybody Loves Jenifa.

The actress, 47, posted a video on Instagram urging moviegoers to refrain from recording the film in cinemas.

She made it clear that piracy not only harms filmmakers but also jeopardizes the industry as a whole.

Akindele disclosed that strict security measures are in place at cinema locations to catch those attempting to film the movie.

She emphasized that anyone caught recording or distributing unauthorized footage would face legal consequences.

Instead of recording, she encouraged her fans to support the film by sharing trailers, taking photos with promotional materials at the theater, and encouraging others to watch it on the big screen.

The movie, which features a prominent cast including Omowunmi Dada, Nancy Isime, and Falz, is expected to be a major release.
