Full List: Ondo Electoral Commission Approves Seven Parties For LG Election

The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission has approved seven political parties to take part in the January 18 local government elections.

The verification process for chairmanship and vice-chairmanship candidates took place on December 23 at the commission’s headquarters in Akure.

Meanwhile, councilorship candidates were screened on December 24 at various local government offices under the supervision of ODSIEC officials.

The approved parties are Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), Action People’s Party (APP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The election will cover all 18 local government areas in Ondo State.
