The Federal Government has warned Nigerians to ignore a fake recruitment letter being shared on social media, claiming there is an ongoing employment process in some paramilitary agencies.
This warning came from the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), which explained that although there is a Presidential approval for fresh recruitment into its four agencies, no official recruitment has started yet.
According to the Board, the recruitment process involves several stages, and none of them has been carried out so far.
It added that any real job openings under its control will be announced publicly through national newspapers.
The Board also stated that applicants will not be required to pay any money during the recruitment.
The public has been advised to avoid falling into the hands of fake agents who are trying to deceive job seekers.
The Board said it is not responsible for any money lost to such people.
The clarification comes amid rising interest in government jobs and the activities of fraudsters pretending to represent recruitment boards.
