A 15-year-old boy has died after being mistakenly shot by his father in Iye Ekiti, Ilejemeje Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

As reported by The Hope, the incident, which occurred on the family’s farmland, was confirmed by the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo.

According to a preliminary investigation, the father, whose name has not been disclosed, had taken his son to the farm for routine work.
