Former Delta State Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The switch happened on Wednesday at his residence in Warri GRA, where he was welcomed by APC leaders from his ward and local government.
The former governor, who had once left the APC for the PDP, is now back with the party, holding a new membership card with the code ‘Delta WRN//023/32001’.
His move comes after earlier comments by PDP South South Chairman Emma Ogidi, who suggested that some members who left for APC would eventually return to the PDP like Uduaghan once did.
This time, however, Uduaghan appears to be sticking with the APC.
During his return, Uduaghan expressed gratitude to the party’s leaders for standing by him.
He promised to work closely with them to push for more growth in Delta State.
Alongside him, his daughter, Orode Uduaghan—who currently serves as the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Child Development in Delta—also received her APC membership card from party officials.
The APC Delta South Women Leader, Alero Tenumah, welcomed both Uduaghan and other new members.
She encouraged them to support the party’s plans under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
She gave her word that the party would continue to work with them and back their efforts moving forward.
