#EndBadGovernance Protest: Police fire shots to disperse demonstrators in Niger

Tensions escalated in Minna, Niger State, as police fired shots into the air to disperse #EndBadGovernance protesters on Thursday morning.

The demonstrators, frustrated with the current state of governance, attempted to block the Tunga-Top Medical to City Gate Road by burning tyres, to intensify their protest.

The swift response from the police, supported by the army and other security personnel, prevented further disruption.

The heavy presence of security forces in the area and across the state capital ensured that the situation did not escalate further.

Following the incident, normalcy has returned, with businesses and daily activities going on.
