Don’t Send Any Of Your Wives Away If You Become Born Again — Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

By Miracle Ogunde

President of the LoveWorld Incorporated, aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, says a man with more than one wife should not send them away in the name of restitution after being born again.

Pastor Chris was responding to a question emailed to him by John Maper from South Africa.

John Mapper wrote,” I married to two wives according to my culture and previous religion, but now I am born again. Some pastors said a boy again person cannot keep two wives. Can I keep my two wives or must I divorce them?

While answering the questions on his online programme, Pastor Chris, in a Youtube Video obtained by Starnews NG, said; “If you already married them, the Bible did not ask you to send them away. It doesn’t say so. So, don’t go back to them (your wives) and say ‘now I want to send you away.’ The Bible didn’t talk about sending them away. If you already married them, that means they are your wives. You’re not going to send any of them away.

He continued, “Don’t look for an excuse because one of them is giving you trouble or both of them are. Don’t say your pastor asked you to send them away. You can’t send them away. They are with you.”

“God didn’t say you should send them away. Just be ready for the difficulties you will have. The difficulties are that you’ll always be in the situation that you will have to explain all about them to the people all the time since you are born again. But in your church they can solve it for you. So go to your pastor and he will make sure everything is alright,” he concluded.
