Court Nullifies PDP Congress In Ebonyi

A Federal High Court located in Abakaliki has declared all congresses conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State as null and void.
This ruling encompasses the ward, local government, and state congresses organized by the party.

In its decision regarding the case numbered FHC/AI/CS/183/2024, titled Hon. Nnenna Lynda Udeh & 12 Others v. PDP & Another, the court found the congresses to be unconstitutional.

Furthermore, the court has prohibited the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the second defendant in the case, from acknowledging any officers allegedly elected during the annulled congresses for any purpose
