• Advises scores of leaders in recent contacts with Mr. Governor to isolate and get tested

The National Vice Chairman, South-West of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Eddy Olafeso, on Tuesday, sympathised with governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who was reportedly infected with Coronavirus pandemic.

Starnews NG reports that Olafeso also advised scores of leaders who had contacts with the governor in recent times to isolate and get tested for the Coronavirus Pandemic.

He made this known in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday and made available to news men in Akure, Ondo State Capital.

”We received report of the Corona virus19 infection of our leader, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and immediately wish him well as he battles it frontally.”

”We are certain that his exposure to this highly contagious virus was in line of duty as he was in the fore front of actions in Oyo State to decisively arrest the scourge of this vicious COVID-19 virus, this underscores his commitment to the wellness of the State and nation.”

”We are however aware that scores of us have been in contact with His Excellency in recent times, therefore it is apt to declare that in full consistency with his desires, we should all isolate and do the needful by getting tested.”

”We however want to encourage Nigerians to obey Government restriction orders and stay safe at this difficult period,” Olafeso said.
