BREAKING: Ondo Government dissolves LGA/LCDA Caretaker Committees

The Ondo State Government has announced the dissolution of Caretaker Committees For Local Government and Local Council Development Areas.

The dissolution was announced on Wednesday in a letter dated January 2, 2024 and signed by permanent secretary Adewale Alonge.

The government frowned at politicians still parading themselves as  chairmen and members of caretaker committees despite a court order that stopped their inauguration.

Meanwhile, on December 27, 2023, Starnews Nigeria had reported that there were strong indications that the Ondo State Executive Council, the newly inaugurated committees for the Local Council Development Areas, and the state executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), may be dissolved.

This comes as Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa takes oath of office as the new Governor following the death of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who succumbed to death after a long battle with cancer.
