BREAKING: Labour Party senatorial leader endorses PDP’s Asue Ighodalo ahead of Edo guber

 

Chief (Barr) Friday Ibadin, the Labour Party leader for Edo Central Senatorial District and a former Commissioner of Police, has endorsed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Asue Ighodalo as the state’s next governor.

Ibadin, led by all five Local Government Area (LGA) party leaders in his senatorial district, passed a vote of confidence on Ighodalo.

The endorsement is seen as a significant development in the Edo 2024 Governor election run-up given the influence of Ibadin in Edo Central senatorial district.

Chief Ibadin, known for his influential role within the Labour Party, alongside the LGA party leaders, affirmed their confidence in Ighodalo’s leadership capabilities and vision for Edo State.

The unified endorsement by Chief Ibadin and the LGA party leaders is seen as a positive momentum behind Ighodalo’s candidacy.
