Breaking: Kano Contingent in Tragic Crash, 19 Dead

Tragedy struck on Saturday as 19 persons returning from the National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State lost their lives in a ghastly auto crash.

The fatal accident occurred in Dakstalle town, about 50 kilometres to Kano, involving members of the Kano State contingent who were returning from the sports event.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of the accident remains sketchy.

Among the dead were athletes, a journalist, medical personnel, and administrators who had participated in the festival.

The accident threw the entire Kano sporting community into mourning as news of the tragedy spread across the state.

“May their souls rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” a grieving resident said.
