Denmark have become the latest country to confirm their qualification for the 2022 World Cup.

Kasper Hjulmand’s side defeated Austria 1-0 on Tuesday to book their place.

The win preserves their 100% record in Group F and ensures they will finish in first position with two matches left.

Denmark are the second European team to qualify for next year’s competition in Qatar.

Germany booked their place on Monday night, thanks to a 4-0 hammering of North Macedonia.

The only other team assured of a place in the World Cup finals are the hosts, Qatar.
