Revealed: How Herdsmen Are Renaming Communities Forcefully Taken By Them

According to a document obtained by the Vanguard, it has been revealed how the herdsmen in Nigeria are renaming communities invaded by them after their original occupiers have been attacked and displaced. The reports gave list of numerous communities invaded and renamed by Herdsmen dated back 2001 till date. The occupied communities include “Rotchun (aka Rafin Acha), Dankum (renamed “Mahanga”), Hywa (renamed”Lugere”), Fass (renamed “Tafawa”), Davwak, Chwelnyap, Lyoho Dakar, and Angwan Dalyop which were all attacked Between September 7 and 10, 2001 with the original inhabitants displaced. Again, Federal Govt Borrows $2.1b Loan From World Bank

The World Bank has approved a loan of $2.1 billion for Nigerian government following a request from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.  According to a statement released on Thursday, the money was approved for seven projects which cover areas like nutrition, access to electricity, states’ fiscal transparency, polio eradication, women’s economic empowerment, public finance and national statistics and reducing vulnerability to soil erosion.
