Woman nabbed For Inserting Firewood Into Girl’s Private Parts

Temitope Adetanju, 25, has been arrested in Ogun State for allegedly inserting a piece of firewood into the private parts of a 12-year-old girl.

The girl was accused stealing items totalling N650 in Isewo, Obada Oko, in the Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.

According to a statement made available to SaharaReporters, the victim was accused of stealing biscuits worth N200, Milo beverage worth N150, and fruit juice worth N300.

The minor endured severe physical punishment from her guardian due to her alleged tendency to steal, the police command said in the statement.

The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 11:00 am on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

The suspect, Temitope Adetanju, was subsequently detained by the Divisional Police Officer in Obada-Oko.

Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the state police command, said: “On 13 June 2024, Temitope Adetanju, aged 25, was seized by the DPO in Obada-Oko, Ogun State, for purportedly inserting a substantial piece of firewood into the genital area of a 12-year-old girl, accusing her of pilfering items valued at N650.”

Upon receiving the report, officers from the Juvenile Welfare Centre were dispatched to arrest Adetanju, who allegedly admitted to the accusations. Odutola added that investigations were ongoing to ensure all aspects of the incident were thoroughly examined.

    Honestly, people are too wicked and callous. This is absurd, inhamane and barbaric, the culprit needs to be arrested, prosecuted and probably sentenced to life imprisonment.
