  •  Makes intimidating promises at campaign rally
  •  May Nigerians never witness another APC, he says

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Wednesday in Akure told the people that he started the southwest presidential campaign rally in Ondo State as a show of appreciation to the people of the state for giving him and the PDP the highest votes in the south-west region in the last presidential election.

Atiku, who promised that all the Federal roads linking Ondo state and other parts of the country will be made motorable if elected, prayed that Nigerians will never witness another APC government beyond 2023.

At the party’s rally in Akure, the PDP presidential candidate urged the good people of Ondo State to repeat the support they gave to him and his party in the 2023 election as they did in the 2015 general elections.

“We are starting our campaign rally in the South West from Ondo State. It is deliberate because we want to show you that we appreciate what you have done for us in the last election.

“By giving us the highest votes in the Southwest, we will never forget you, that is why if you repeat the support, we promise we will deal with insecurity. We will eliminate it.

“We will also make sure that all the Federal roads linking Ondo state and other parts of the country are made very motorable.

“I have also undertaken to make sure that our young men and women, you are the ones who are gathered here today, you are the ones who are suffering in the sun today. You are going to vote for us and protect the votes for us. We promise you, we will set aside enough money to make sure that we empower you for your jobs, for your security and your families.

“That is why in our policy documents, we said we are going to set aside 10 billion US dollars to make sure that we provide small and medium enterprises for young men and women, to create jobs and to empower themselves. This is our number one priority.

“We must empower our young men and women so that they can have a brighter future for themselves and their families.

“We will also make sure that all the Federal roads linking Ondo state and other parts of the country are made very motorable.

“Our people of Ondo State, we also promise that we shall, by the grace of God, provide enough funding for education so that our universities can continue with their work, not what the APC is doing today”, Atiku said
