We Will Win in the End – Fubara Tells Supporters

Suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has told his supporters that he remains confident about overcoming the political crisis affecting the state.

He spoke during a gathering in Bonny, where he assured those backing him that the situation, though challenging, will not last forever.

Fubara said he is not worried about the storm around him, adding that power is temporary and truth always remains.

He explained that while not everyone may support how he leads, he is focused on doing what he believes is right and staying true to himself.

He urged his followers to stay firm, stating that sometimes people may appear to lose, but it is only part of a journey that leads to greater victories.

Fubara noted that real strength comes from staying grounded in truth, not seeking approval from everyone.

This message was delivered in the middle of a state of emergency in Rivers, declared by President Bola Tinubu in March.

The emergency followed a political clash between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

As part of the emergency measures, Tinubu appointed retired naval officer Ibok-Ete Ibas as the sole administrator of the state.

Both Fubara and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly remain suspended while the emergency rule continues.
