‘We Will Kidnap President Tinubu In Days Ahead’ – Terrorist Commander Brags

An alleged terrorist commander has issued fresh threats against top Nigerian leaders, declaring that his group will soon abduct military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, the militant — dressed in what appeared to be a Nigerian military jacket — boasted about recent mass kidnappings carried out in Kebbi and Niger states, including the abduction of schoolchildren.

The unidentified commander, speaking in Hausa, said the group was unfazed by recent arrests made by security forces, insisting that the Nigerian government had “failed woefully” in its responsibility to protect citizens.
“Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he declared.

Displaying the jacket he wore, he continued: “Look at the clothes I’m wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”

He further mocked the government’s security efforts, urging Nigerians to rely on “divine protection” instead of state institutions.
“We are not concerned that they have arrested anyone. The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you, answer your wishes, and wipe the tears from your eyes,” he said.
The militant ended the video by sending greetings to his followers on social media.

The latest threat follows a series of coordinated attacks across northern Nigeria. On November 21, terrorists stormed St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting more than 100 students and teachers, according to local officials.

The attack came barely five days after gunmen invaded Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi State, where about 25 female students were abducted and at least one staff member was killed.

Security experts say the escalating threats highlight Nigeria’s deteriorating security climate, particularly as terrorists increasingly target schools, rural communities, and now — according to this video — top government officials.
Authorities have not yet issued an official response to the latest kidnapping threats.
