Two communities of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State have been washed away by Sea incursion, Starnews Nigeria can report.

The communities are Mese which has been completely washed away and Awoye which is about to be submerged by the Ocean.

Starnews gathered that residents of the affected areas in the oil-rich communities have been rendered homeless following the surge from the Atlantic Ocean which has sacked the affected communities.

In a video obtained by Starnews Nigeria Television on Wednesday,  Ogundere Adejugba, the Chairman of Ugboland Central Working Committee (UCWC), lamented the damages the sea incursion had caused the people of the communities, and said they have unanimously resolved not to participate in the October 10, 2020, governorship election in the state.

He also said that if they participate in the election, the people would overwhelmingly vote against the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) which he accused of abandoning them since the inception of their administration in the state.
